I wrapped up my bit of work on Pacific Rim about a month ago, after spending a year on the show from its very early stages. My role and responsibilities on Pacific Rim grew compared to the previous shows. I got to set the look and feel for quite a few (key) sequences and got to lead and supervise them as well. I have to say, as hard as it was, it was one of the best shows I've worked on.
The work was fun, innovative and as challenging as it could get, with great amounts of creative freedom. Which comes from amazing show leadership/supervisors - John Knoll and Nigel Sumner and a brilliant Director - Guillermo Del Toro.
Looking forward to its release in July. Here's the bad-ass trailer -
